chemex
rooster's crow coffee
costa rican farmer's roast
24g coffee, ~400g water
1+2 on lido e-t
water at 203 deg f
50g bloom for 45s with spin
from 45s to 1m 15s, pour to 200g
from 1m 15s to 2m, let drip
from 2m to 2m 20s, pour to 300g
from 2m 20s to 3m, let drip
from 3m to 3m 20s, pour to ~400g (scale turned itself off)
from 3m 20s to 4m, let drip
aim for 4m total brew time
4m 57s total brew time (oops)
overall impressions: pretty bitter, definitely overextracted
a lot more earthiness than the kalita, but not as clean this time
looks like these beans like a finer grind for kalita but coarser for chemex
adjust grind size accordingly for future brews
